With this issue I would like to welcome a new contributor, Mark Evans. He has written a very interesting article on the role of the Commissar in the Red Army. I look forward to featuring more of his work in future issues.
Our photography section has another blast-from-the-past: The Battle of Berlin, from 2002. While not there myself, I know it was one of the largest and intense RKKA events ever to be held, with large thanks to Dan Welch.
