Now for the guidelines ....
Articles should be of reasonable length, ask yourself: would my mother sit and read all of this? If you have a lot to say send it and we will turn it into a series. Send your document as an attachment in Microsoft Word, or size permitting, as the email itself. You may send photographs to go with your article, maximum of 3, unless the subject matter warrants more.
Photographs should be in either .jpg or .gif format. Do not send super small or pixelated images. It is better to have no photographs than to use poor quality photographs.
All photographs must be accompanied by permission to publish from the photographer. If that is not you, have the photographer email us their permission.
By submitting your article and/or photographs to us you grant us permission to publish them electronically. We will put a copyright notice under your name on your article page and under your photograph(s). We cannot be responsible for net thieves who take what does not belong to them.
These guidelines will expand and change as we figure out exactly what we are doing ...
Comrades! We are always looking for writers and photographers from within the RKKA community to share their work. This is your magazine! If you have a topic that you would like to write about, or a photograph or two you think is exceptionally good (as well as actual photographs from WW2), then share them with your Tovarish here.
We hope to publish a new issue every three months, depending on the amount of material submitted. Acceptable topics are anything related to RKKA. We will not print inflamatory articles, such as rants about particular units or individuals; articles that are obviously plagiarized, articles or photographs that are in poor taste, in our opinion; and articles and photographs that do not relate in some way to the RKKA. If you have a question about your material contact Dovile Vilimaite.
