The annual Lititz antique fair returns after a year missed by COVID-19
LITITZ, Pa. (WHTM) – The 58th Annual Lititz Historical Foundation Antiques Fair kicked off Friday morning.
The show is a major fundraiser for the Historical Foundation, said antiques fair president Tom Oehme, but it was canceled last year due to restrictions related to the pandemic.
âWe have been closed for most of the year due to the pandemic, but now we are open and things are back to normal,â Oehme said. This year, the antiques fair is back in force.
A line of people waiting for the doors to open this morning stretched out on the sidewalk in front of the Lititz leisure center where the event is taking place. Inside, the place was bustling with guests browsing the antiques on display by more than three dozen vendors.
âWe have a lot of our old suppliers who have been here for many years. They have come back and they are happy to be back, âsays Oehme. Vendors offer quilts, jewelry, dolls, home decor, and more.
âYou name it, we got it,â Oehme said.
This year’s event is largely the same as the previous shows, but the venue is new. Oehme explains that the antiques fair usually takes place at a local school, but due to COVID-19 precautions, this 58th event takes place at the Lititz recCenter.
the antique exhibition continue tomorrow. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday June 26. Visitors can purchase tickets for the show at the door.
