What is the name of Cardi B and Offset’s son?
Cardi B and Offset finally shared photos on social media showing their seven-month-old son’s face on Thursday.
The 29-year-old rap star gave birth to their little pride and joy on September 4 last year, but since then she and Offset have refused to share his name with the public or show his face on social media .
However, the two posted a photo of the baby’s face on Instagram on Friday – and in his caption, Offset also revealed his name: “WAVE SET CEPHUS”.
Offset and Cardi have been married since 2017 and also share a three-year-old daughter named Kulture Kiari Cephus.
Kiari is Offset’s real first name, meaning both babies have first names derived from their father’s different nicknames.
In new photos of Cardi and Offset from Little Wave, the baby was draped in jewelry, including earrings and several necklaces.
Cardi’s snaps showed the baby wrapped in a fur-lined anorak as he relaxed in a small baby chair and was photographed from above.
The new photos confirmed Cardi’s statement on Twitter last month that her baby bears a striking resemblance to her sister.
When a fan asked, ‘Now that he’s 6 months old, who does he look the most like? You or together?’ Cardi wrote in response: “Kulture”.
On her Insta stories in January, she claimed that her son, despite only turning four months old that day, had already started talking.
“I’m not exaggerating, this baby is talking,” she said. “I put this on everything I love in the name of Jesus Christ. Like first my husband saw it.
Cardi said she asked the baby, “Do you love mommy?” several times and he enthusiastically replied, “‘Yeah!’ Like not even like, ‘He-he-heh.’ It was like, ‘Yeah!’
Cardi has been vague about the reason for the Kulture name, only revealing on social media that “everything else would have been basic Okrrrrr.”
While pregnant with Kulture, she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and said that Offset had already decided what they should name their oldest daughter.
‘Yeah, my guy named the baby. I really like the name,” she said, implying that Offset’s choice was “almost tricky, but when he comes out, it’s like, ‘Ah!’”
Offset is a member of rap trio Migos, which released two albums titled Culture and Culture II in the year and a half before Kulture was born.
Although Cardi didn’t reveal Wave’s name until Friday, she tweeted in January, “Random but…I’m about 1% tattooing my son’s name on my face too.. I really want to do this!”
She also revealed that if she decided to apply body art, she would get a jawline tattoo.
Last month, after little Wave turned six months old, Cardi posted a photo of him that had been enlarged so far only one of his eyes was visible blurry.
Fans have been asking for a glimpse of her face for months, and Cardi taunted them, “That’s all you’ll get.”
Cardi, whose debut album was called Invasion Of Privacy, quickly received backlash from audience members who wanted to see more.
‘How did people get mad because people asked me to see my son and I answered?’ she wrote online. “There seems to be nothing I can do or say these days without people getting upset. Maybe I should delete my social media or just die because of Wtff.”
